Krefeld, April 13, 2023. As of April 5, 2023, Jagenberg Converting Solutions GmbH, based in Bocholt, Germany, acquires 100% of the shares in FMP Technology GmbH, based in Erlangen, Germany.
Jagenberg Converting Solutions GmbH (JCS) is a German machinery company of the Jagenberg Group that supplies turnkey systems for processing of sophisticated web-shaped materials for battery and decorative applications.
FMP Technology GmbH (FMP) specializes in the production of high-precision and customized slot dies for customers in the battery, hydrogen and electronics industries. In this context, FMP has in-depth expertise in the design of slot dies, diffusion-optimized dryers and simulations of these processes. In process engineering, FMP complements the competencies of JCS in the design of equipment for electrode production. In the future, FMP's portfolio of innovative slot dies will be even more closely coordinated with JCS's range of equipment, thus offering our customers an additional integrated solution.
In cooperation with renowned German universities and institutions, FMP is conducting research on numerous projects with the aim of improving the efficiency of roll-to-roll production as well as the quality of battery electrode and fuel cell production. This knowledge, coupled with specific short-cycle development projects, is another component in JCS's strategic orientation to continue to be a strong development partner with innovative turnkey solutions for its customers. Battery production is subject to continuous development cycles to increase the efficiency and quality of both the production process and the product. The acquisition of FMP enables an even closer integration of the two companies and offers our customers the advantage of direct access to the latest research results and short realization times for innovations ready for series production.
