FMP Technology is now Jagenberg Converting Solutions.

Since the acquisition of FMP Technology GmbH by Jagenberg Converting Solutions GmbH in April 2023, it has been part of the internationally positioned Jagenberg Group.

With the merger that has now been completed, we are taking our collaboration to a new level. The exchange between the teams can now be carried out even more smoothly in order to offer our customers integrated solutions.

As a turnkey supplier of systems for the production of battery electrode foils, JCS has already used FMP's high-precision slot dies in numerous challenging projects. Since the acquisition, there has been a lively exchange of knowledge. Now the comprehensive know-how of both specialists is bundled under one roof in line with our Jagenberg Group philosophy Create.Future.Together.

Double future competence

We have always seen ourselves as a development partner for our customers in the highly dynamic battery industry. We are constantly working together to integrate innovative solutions into our service portfolio. In doing so, we also utilize the knowledge and expertise of our sister companies in the Jagenberg Group. We can draw on established products and services, such as slitting and winding technology solutions from Kampf GmbH or automation and control technology from Lebbing automation & drives GmbH.

The products and services of the former FMP fit perfectly into our service portfolio. Together with our new colleagues, we are also involved in numerous research and development projects in order to continuously enrich our products with new technologies. We work closely with renowned universities and research institutes, among others. In this way, we combine the aspiration to implement cutting-edge technology in our systems with the reliability of a medium-sized partner.

Advantages for our customers

With the integration of the FMP portfolio into JCS, we offer our customers and partners:

  • Proven expertise in coating and drying nozzles
  • Process engineering know-how
  • Thermo and fluid dynamic simulations
  • Access to research and development projects
  • A broad network of cooperation partners
  • Expertise in the industrialization of innovations
  • Many years of knowledge and broad experience with coating systems and roll-to-roll processes

Steffen Heckmann about the merger of JCS and FMP

Dr.-Ing. Martin Gotterbarm,
Sales & Project Management

What are the advantages of the merger for customers?

"In the production of electrodes for lithium-ion batteries, the system performance stands and falls with the coating quality. The slot die plays a key role in this. Designing these individually and tailoring them to our customers' applications is our specialty in Erlangen.

By merging with Jagenberg Converting Solutions GmbH, we can now also offer our customers this core component from a single source to make their products even better. What belongs together comes together here - that excites me!"

"Under the motto "Experts United", we bring together specialists at the Hamburg and Erlangen locations under one roof. They benefit from the advantages of an international group of companies. This gives our customers and partners even more direct access to future technologies and research results."
