Kampf Opens New Customer Experience Center THE LINQ
Wiehl, September 25, 2026 – With the official opening of THE LINQ – Home of Slitting & Winding, Kampf GmbH has inaugurated a new Customer Experience Center at its headquarters in Wiehl/Mühlen, Germany, creating a dedicated space for customers, partners and employees.
Covering approximately 3,000 square meters, THE LINQ provides an environment for collaboration, interaction and knowledge sharing. Here, customers and partners can work together with Kampf to develop new solutions, test applications under real-world conditions and share expertise. At the same time, THE LINQ gives employees new opportunities to exchange experiences and ideas and connect expertise across the organization. In this way, THE LINQ brings to life Kampf’s evolution from a machine manufacturer to a solutions and lifecycle partner.

Experience technology, develop solutions together
The centerpiece of THE LINQ is the 1,276-square-meter Technology Center. Its extensive machinery and equipment enable technologies, materials and applications to be demonstrated, tested and validated under conditions closely reflecting real-world production environments. This allows customers and partners to gain insights into specific applications and experience technological possibilities first-hand.
The Technology Center is complemented by modern spaces for dialogue, workshops, learning and interaction. The concept is built around four interconnected areas:
Experience provides perspectives on markets, technologies and future developments;
Creation offers space for workshops and co-creation;
Performance enables application testing and validation; and
Commons encourages personal interaction and dialogue.
The Kampf Academy is also an integral part of the concept. Modern training facilities located in close proximity to the machinery combine theory, training and hands-on application.
From the initial idea in October 2023 to the completion of the Technology Center in May 2026, the project was realized in less than three years. The outdoor areas are scheduled for completion by 2027.
THE LINQ forms part of the long-term development of Kampf’s headquarters in Wiehl. While the recently completed modern Logistics Center strengthens internal processes and material flows, THE LINQ expands the opportunities for customer dialogue, technology development and knowledge transfer. The two projects make distinct yet complementary contributions to the long-term future of the site.
Official Opening with Guests from Business and Politics
Kampf welcomed guests from the worlds of business and politics to the official opening. Alongside CEO Markus Vollmer, representatives from the local community, project planning and the wider business environment shared their perspectives on the significance and development of THE LINQ.
A symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening of the new Customer Experience Center. Guided tours then gave guests the opportunity to experience the new facilities and technologies first-hand.
THE LINQ combines more than 100 years of experience in slitting and winding technology with the requirements of tomorrow’s solutions. Its long-term success will be shaped by how customers, partners and employees use its possibilities and continue to develop them in the years ahead.
As Markus Vollmer summarized the ambition behind THE LINQ in his opening speech:
